The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, we don't just process compliance—we become a trusted extension of our clients' tax operations. As a Compliance Services Representative, you'll be the expert problem-solver who ensures our global clients stay ahead of complex regulatory requirements while delivering exceptional service that makes their lives easier.

Imagine being the go-to resource for clients navigating intricate tax compliance landscapes—from Tax Information Reporting and Affordable Care Act requirements to Sales and Use Tax, FATCA, Unclaimed Property, and Certificate Management. You'll combine technical expertise with consultative partnership, managing critical deadlines, reconciling data, and transforming complex challenges into streamlined solutions.

More specifically, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional client services utilizing Sovos' comprehensive suite of compliance solutions including Tax Information Reporting (1099), Affordable Care Act, Sales and Use Tax Reporting, FATCA, Unclaimed Property, and Certificate Management software
  • Ensure compliance with applicable taxing authorities (IRS, State and Local Governments) and client-specified procedures by adhering to internal policies and procedures
  • Act as a trusted problem-solver by identifying, prioritizing, and resolving client issues while coordinating with internal departments to provide timely responses and solutions
  • Manage day-to-day tax compliance operations including data imports, reconciliation, and regulatory deadline management
  • Provide guidance and assistance to Compliance Services Associates, helping build team expertise and resolve complex client issues
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, offering suggestions to build internal efficiencies, and leading improvement projects that reduce risk
  • Maintain goals and key measures to ensure progress and alignment with desired business outcomes for clients
  • Support team development by leading training sessions, creating training materials, and providing daily mentoring to colleagues
  • Collaborate with management to track team activities and ensure timely, accurate completion of all deliverables
  • Foster innovation by sharing ideas and feedback to generate new approaches for ongoing company improvements and enhancements

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a client support or services capacity
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Tax Information Reporting (1099), Affordable Care Act Reporting, Sales and Use Tax Reporting, FATCA, Unclaimed Property, and/or Exemption Certificate Management
  • Excellent time management, decision-making, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering solutions
  • Proficiency with technology including phone systems, computer hardware, and software applications
  • Ability to concentrate, analyze, and resolve complex problems while maintaining accuracy
  • Collaborative team player who interacts effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers
