The Work You'll Do:
The Senior Project Manager will lead end-to-end e-invoicing implementation projects for embedded (OEM) partners, managing the complete project lifecycle from initiation through closure. This role requires basic understanding of e-invoicing standards, compliance frameworks, and integration architectures to successfully deliver complex, multi-jurisdictional implementations on time, within budget, and to specification.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will develop comprehensive project plans, define technical milestones, coordinate cross-functional teams, and serve as the primary interface between partners and internal stakeholders. You'll help partners navigate regulatory requirements, API integrations, and compliance mandates while ensuring seamless adoption of Sovos e-invoicing solutions within partner ERP and financial systems.
More specifically, you will:- Lead assigned e-invoicing projects through complete delivery, maintaining strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance requirements and technical feasibility
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, proactively managing dependencies, risks, and scope changes across multiple workstreams
- Facilitate weekly project reviews with internal and external stakeholders, providing transparent status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
- Manage stakeholder expectations across partner organizations, ensuring alignment on technical specifications, compliance obligations, and implementation timelines
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including technical specifications, integration requirements, compliance matrices, and post-implementation reviews
- Serve as primary escalation point for project-related technical issues, integration challenges, and compliance questions
- Drive customer satisfaction across assigned project portfolio through proactive communication and issue resolution
- Make data-driven decisions that impact project trajectories, resource allocation, and delivery commitments
- Act as subject matter expert and escalation resource for complex e-invoicing scenarios
What We Need From You
- 5-7 years managing complex software implementation projects in SaaS, enterprise software, or professional services environments
- Basic understanding of e-invoicing standards (Peppol, UBL, EDIFACT), compliance mandates, and continuous transaction controls (CTC)
- Experience with ERP systems, AP automation platforms, or financial software integrations
- Proven ability to manage concurrent projects while maintaining quality and meeting commitments
- Demonstrated track record delivering projects on time and within budget
- Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for technical and process challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with e-invoicing regulations across Latin America, Europe, or Asia-Pacific
- Experience with API integrations, webhook configurations, and data transformation processes
- Basic understanding of XML/JSON data formats and validation requirements
- Knowledge of tax compliance and VAT reporting requirements
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification
