The Work You'll Do:
As a Renewals Specialist, you'll be a key player in our newly created Renewals organization, helping ensure our customers continue to thrive with Sovos solutions. This quota-carrying role puts you at the intersection of customer relationships and business growth, where your ability to build trust, negotiate effectively, and drive results will directly impact our success. You'll work closely with Account Management and Customer Success teams while managing your own portfolio of SaaS customer renewals.
More specifically, you will:
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations to understand their evolving needs and ensure long-term partnerships
- Collaborate with Account Management and Customer Success teams to develop comprehensive account plans that drive retention and growth
- Proactively identify and capitalize on renewal upsell opportunities within your assigned territory
- Lead customer negotiations to secure successful renewals while balancing customer needs with company objectives
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve account issues that may impact renewal outcomes
- Maintain operational excellence throughout the renewal process, addressing challenges promptly and effectively
- Deliver predictable forecasting and consistently meet or exceed renewal targets
- Quickly adapt to new systems, processes, and product offerings as the business evolves
What We Need From You
- 2-3 years of experience in renewals management or account management within the software industry, with a focus on SaaS solutions and services
- Proven track record of achieving sales or renewal quotas
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to navigate complex customer conversations
- Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships while advocating for customer needs
- Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders within tight timelines and resource constraints
- Effective problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving issues promptly
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Salesforce CRM experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire
