The Work You'll Do:
As a Solution Consultant II – SAP at Sovos, you'll be responsible for managing the effective completion of day-to-day tactical activities needed for the implementation of Sovos SAP-integrated tax compliance solutions. Working hand in hand with project managers, you'll leverage your SAP expertise and product knowledge to achieve implementation targets and guide customers through successful deployments.
You'll collaborate with technical and functional resources to achieve planned milestones, ensuring our SAP solutions meet local compliance requirements across global markets. This role offers the opportunity to work with Fortune 1000 companies and make a direct impact on how organizations manage tax compliance within their SAP environments.
More specifically, you will:
- Manage individual project activities to ensure completion within defined timelines for SAP implementation projects
- Utilize extensive SAP product experience to ensure implementation is completed in accordance with local compliance requirements
- Apply SAP technical and functional knowledge to guide customers on best practices to ensure software fulfills compliance requirements
- Guide technical teams on troubleshooting based upon knowledge of SAP integration and local compliance requirements
- Assist with light technical tasks such as PDF mapping adjustments as needed to fulfill customer commitments
- Drive testing phases according to customer needs and Sovos' best practices within SAP environments
- Communicate with internal and external project teams to ensure implementation activities are successful
- Utilize SAP product/technical and functional experience to assist project managers in the control of project scope, schedule, and costs
- Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage change control and communicate impact in project scope; identify issues and devise contingency plans
- Assist project managers in creating and maintaining appropriate project documentation
- Ensure project tasks are completed according to planning done by project managers and external stakeholders
What We Need From You:
- 1 to 2 years' experience in software/professional services company or electronic business-to-government compliance
- Experience with SAP environments and integrations preferred
- Ability to effectively manage multiple work assignments and projects
- Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated track record of finishing projects on time and on budget
- Excellent customer service skills
- Comfortable working with Fortune 1000 companies
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to travel moderately to Sovos locations, events, and client sites
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
