The Work You'll Do:

As a DevOps Engineer II at Sovos, you'll play a key role in powering our global tax compliance platform that serves over 100,000 customers worldwide. Working with cutting-edge technologies including GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, Puppet, and RunDeck, you'll collaborate closely with Agile Development teams and our SaaS Operations department to design and implement technical solutions that support our software development lifecycle. Your work will directly impact how we build, release, deploy, and configure the applications that help businesses navigate complex regulatory landscapes across the globe.

More specifically, you will:

• Design and implement build, release, deployment, and configuration activities across multiple applications
• Define and implement processes to maintain software products' configuration and infrastructure servers' configuration
• Maintain applications and tools within the Development team throughout the software development lifecycle
• Create documentation following industry standards for process definition and training purposes
• Work within an agile team to develop software solutions and provide guidance on Configuration Management best practices
• Continuously evaluate current Configuration Management practices and propose improvements

What We Need From You

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field
• Knowledge of SaaS technologies and software development lifecycle processes
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell
• Familiarity with private repositories such as GitHub preferred
• Strong ability to interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers
• Capacity to comprehend, analyze, and communicate complex concepts
• Ability to meet strict deadlines with some off-hour responsibilities as needed
• Proficiency with technology including phone systems, computer hardware, and software applications
