The Work You'll Do:
As a Business Development Representative at Sovos, you'll be a driving force in building market demand for our industry-leading tax compliance solutions. This role combines strategic prospecting with mentorship—you'll not only achieve your own pipeline and revenue goals but also help elevate the entire BDR team through leadership and coaching.
You'll partner directly with Sales Executives to identify opportunities, execute territory plans, and connect businesses with solutions that solve real compliance challenges. This is an ideal next step for a high-performing BDR ready to take on greater responsibility and make a broader impact.
More specifically, you will:

Exercise discretion and independent judgment to advance Sovos’ marketing and sales strategies

Work directly with Sovos’ customers to assist with implementation of Sovos’ products and services

Ensure MDR team achievement of telemarketing and revenue quotas

Independently and effectively introduce and market Sovos’ solutions to customers and prospects

Achieve pipeline creation and revenue quotas

Team with Sales Executives to identify and execute territory plans - Execute a formalized telemarketing and selling process

Develop and deliver regular forecasts of revenue goals and telemarketing objectives

Creatively identify and implement improvements to telemarketing strategies, processes, documents, tools, etc. to benefit Market Development/other internal teams and external prospects

Ability to autonomously manage multiple sales opportunities concurrently and actively manage pipeline development of those opportunities
What We Need From You

0-12 months as a successful Business Development Representative or equivalent success in a BDR role with Business Development Manager recommendation

Proven history of achieving and exceeding monthly BDR quotas for Dials, Appointments, and Opportunities

Proven history of achieving and exceeding monthly BDR quotas for Dials, Appointments, and Opportunities

Strong team player – identify and execute ideas that will make the Market Development team better

Ability to work with mid/executive level contacts at clients

Self-motivated, quick learner

Effective internal & external communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) – ability to give presentations to small or large groups of people

Effective planning, organizing, and prioritization

Proficiency with contact management solutions (e.g., Salesforce.com) and Microsoft Office suite of tools
