The Work You'll Do:
At Sovos, we're building world-class product engineering teams that power compliance technology for over 100,000 customers globally – and we're growing fast, with significant expansion underway across the APAC region.
As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you'll be the driving force behind identifying and securing top-tier technical talent across disciplines including Java, .NET, cloud infrastructure, networking, and beyond. At our core, we are a product organization, which means our product engineers are building the technology that defines how businesses navigate compliance at scale.
You'll partner closely with software and technology leaders to shape hiring strategy, build pipelines before we need them, and champion a candidate experience that reflects who Sovos is. You'll bring deep technical fluency, strong instincts, and a genuine curiosity for how AI tools can make you faster, sharper, and more effective at your craft.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead end-to-end, full-cycle recruitment for senior and specialized technical roles including software engineers (Java, .NET), network engineers, DevOps, cloud architects, and security professionals
- Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand technical requirements, team dynamics, and what "great" looks like for each role
- Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines using tools like Naukri, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, niche communities, and AI-powered sourcing platforms
- Actively leverage AI tools - for sourcing, outreach personalization, market mapping, and workflow efficiency — and continuously seek better ways to integrate them into your practice
- Conduct structured competency-based interviews and advise hiring teams on assessment best practices for technical roles
- Leverage data and recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline conversion, source effectiveness) to continuously improve hiring outcomes
- Champion a candidate experience that is fast, respectful, and reflective of Sovos' values — from first contact through offer
- Contribute to employer brand initiatives and talent marketing efforts targeting the technical community in India and globally
- Stay current on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent availability across technical disciplines
What We Need From You
- 5-8 years of end-to-end, full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a strong track record hiring software engineers, network engineers, and infrastructure professionals
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical profiles and engage meaningfully with candidates in areas such as Java, .NET, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and networking technologies
- A hands-on, curious approach to AI - you actively use AI tools to work smarter, not just as a talking point, and you're always looking for what's next
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, sourcing tools, and AI-assisted recruiting platforms
- Strong stakeholder management skills - able to influence, advise, and push back constructively with senior engineering leaders
- Data-driven mindset with experience using recruiting metrics to guide decisions and communicate pipeline health
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to represent Sovos compellingly to global talent
- Experience recruiting for a global technology organization is strongly preferred; bonus points for experience in new or expanding regional markets
- Familiarity with technical assessment tools and structured interviewing frameworks is a plus
