The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, we're transforming how companies around the world manage tax compliance—helping half of the Fortune 500 and thousands more stay ahead in a complex, ever-changing global landscape. As an eFile Automation Associate, you'll work closely with the Automation Development Team and internal stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement process automations that drive efficiency and reduce manual workload across our Managed Services teams.

You'll gain working knowledge of the processes our processor teams rely on daily, using that insight to build automations that solve real challenges—then monitor and maintain those solutions to ensure they run smoothly. You'll also collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot issues as they arise and create clear documentation for every process you build.

More specifically, you will:

  • Develop automations using Aatrix Abel scripting language, Selenium, or Python to increase efficiency for the Aatrix Processing Team
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions to understand the challenges different state sites present, asking relevant questions to drive better solutions
  • Collaborate with other Automation Developers to outline development processes and troubleshoot problems as they arise
  • Monitor and maintain automations post-release, resolving issues to ensure processes run smoothly
  • Create clear process documentation so any internal stakeholder can understand and work with the automation
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to identify new automation opportunities and accelerate development

What We Need From You

  • At least 1 year of experience working with automation software tools, including C#/.NET and Python
  • Experience with Microsoft products such as SQL Server, and web scraping tools such as Selenium
  • Ability to learn in-house scripting languages (Abel) and work with PGP encryption and server connections for agency file submission
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex problems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including teammates across the globe
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deliver within desired timelines
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to think outside the box
  • Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, and openness to integrating them into day-to-day work
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
