The Work You'll Do
As a Senior Technical Account Manager, you will lead technical projects for SaaS and On-Premise customers, ensuring seamless implementations, testing, and go-live processes. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Serving as the primary technical contact for key enterprise accounts, you will proactively address complex issues and drive continuous improvement. Your role will be pivotal in fostering strong client relationships, supporting adoption of Sovos products, and representing clients during critical situations.
More specifically, you will:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for key enterprise accounts
- Lead customer projects from inception through go-live and ongoing support
- Coordinate code deployments and ensure release documentation meets client expectations
- Address customer issues related to installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Conduct annual account reviews, on-site visits, and health review meetings
- Perform regular case reviews and ensure jurisdictional/seasonal readiness
- Provide training on software usage and best practices to clients and internal teams
- Represent assigned accounts during emergencies and manage crisis communications
What We Need From You
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer implementations or advanced technical support
- Experience in the software industry; SaaS experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Sovos product offerings and relevant tax rules
- Proficiency in SQL queries and scripting is advantageous
- Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver client projects within constraints
- Professional image and strong business acumen
- Willingness to travel minimally and work outside core business hours as needed
