The Work You'll Do
As a Software Architect, you will serve as a strategic consultant bridging Product and Engineering, shaping solution designs from requirements through implementation. You will drive architectural direction, document and iterate designs, and support teams in delivering scalable, high-performance systems. Your expertise will enable the creation of robust workflows and the removal of bottlenecks in critical paths. You will lead technical evaluations, facilitate cross-team collaboration, and occasionally engage with external partners to validate architectural decisions. This role is pivotal in ensuring our solutions are resilient, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

More specifically, you will:

• Translate requirements and pain points into solution options and architectural designs
• Produce and maintain architecture diagrams and design documentation for initiatives
• Guide implementation with tech leads and engineering teams, ensuring alignment to documented architecture
• Support deployments and operational readiness, including refactoring for maintainability and scalability
• Design scalable workflows and state-machine approaches for high-volume systems
• Identify and remove scalability inhibitors in critical paths, optimizing system performance
• Lead evaluations and proofs of concept for core platform components and data architecture
• Facilitate collaboration across teams and participate in architecture forums and partner review sessions

What We Need From You

• Strong knowledge and experience with software products developed with Java and .NET is a plus
• 4 yoe in positions as Tech Lead or Principal Dev
• Proficiency in English
• Strong system design skills with proven ability to document and communicate architecture clearly
• Experience designing resilient, scalable workflows for high-throughput systems
• Hands-on expertise evaluating data/storage approaches for scale and operational constraints
• Deep understanding of distributed systems tradeoffs, async processing, and bottleneck identification
• Ability to influence and align tech leads, engineering managers, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience producing architecture/design documents and workflow/state-machine designs
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on facilitating technical proofs of concept and shared solutions
• Proactive approach to identifying optimizations and driving performance improvements
