The Work You'll Do
As a Solutions Architect, you will define and drive enterprise cloud architecture for Sovos, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and aligned with corporate standards. You will collaborate across development, operations, security, and finance teams to design modern, governed cloud solutions. Your expertise will help shape the adoption of new technologies, embed governance and compliance controls, and promote best practices in automation and cost optimization. This role is pivotal in guiding engineering teams, setting architectural standards, and supporting Sovos’ commitment to high availability and disaster recovery. You will play a key part in advancing cloud modernization strategies and ensuring our solutions meet the demands of a dynamic global business environment.

More specifically, you will:

• Lead the design of scalable, secure cloud architectures aligned with business needs
• Define and maintain cloud architecture standards, patterns, and frameworks
• Collaborate with global technology teams to ensure architectural consistency
• Evaluate and recommend adoption strategies for new cloud technologies
• Embed governance, security, and compliance controls in all solutions
• Incorporate FinOps practices for cost optimization
• Design resilient architectures for high availability and disaster recovery
• Guide engineering teams through architecture reviews and mentoring

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Fluent English communication, written and spoken
• Proven experience designing enterprise cloud architectures
• Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong knowledge of cloud security and governance frameworks
• Experience with FinOps and cost optimization strategies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
