The Work You'll Do
As Global Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in delivering technology solutions that address critical needs for global customers and prospects. You will lead the sales process for the Sovos Tax Compliance Platform, managing strategic accounts and driving new business opportunities. Your expertise will help shape commercial strategies, foster executive relationships, and ensure consistent revenue growth. By navigating complex sales cycles and staying ahead of industry trends, you will contribute to Sovos’ position as a market leader in compliance technology. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, international team and make a meaningful impact on the success of global enterprises.

More specifically, you will:

  • Generate new business opportunities for global strategic accounts and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to close, including up-sell and cross-sell
  • Develop and execute account-based commercial strategies to increase sales and retain key customers
  • Deliver profitable revenue growth in your assigned territory, consistently meeting and exceeding targets
  • Build and nurture executive and C-Suite relationships with clients and prospects, ensuring year-over-year performance and accountability
  • Manage complex, technical sales into large global enterprises, maintaining deep industry and competitive knowledge
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Effectively utilize internal enablement resources to maximize sales outcomes
  • Collaborate with global teams to drive strategic initiatives and support customer success

What We Need From You

  • Proven experience in managing global strategic accounts and complex sales cycles
  • Strong ability to develop and execute commercial strategies for technology solutions
  • Demonstrated success in delivering revenue growth and achieving sales targets
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with executive and C-Suite stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of the tax compliance industry and emerging competitive landscape
  • Proficiency in providing accurate sales forecasts and business reports
  • Ability to work collaboratively with international teams and leverage internal resources
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required (less than 25%)
