The Role

At Sovos, we're building the future of tax compliance software, and we need a Fullstack Senior Developer to help us get there. In this role, you'll design and implement scalable solutions that tackle complex business challenges, mentor talented engineers, and drive technical excellence across our global products. This is your chance to make a real impact on both the product and the people around you.

More specifically, you will:

• Mentor and support software engineers to foster growth, knowledge sharing, and technical skill development across the team.
• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software applications, leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, UX/UI designers, QA testers, and database administrators, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.
• Champion code quality and continuous improvement by conducting peer code reviews, ensuring standards and best practices are consistently met.
• Integrate technology, process, testing, and business practices to optimize outcomes and enhance continuous development and continuous integration workflows.
• Author and contribute to technical documentation, release notes, and bug fix records to maintain clear and accessible knowledge bases.

What You Bring to Sovos

• You've built solid experience in software engineering using object-oriented programming and web application technology, with a strong track record of delivering complex solutions.
• You have experience providing technical leadership and hands-on coaching to engineering teams, helping others grow and succeed.
• You're fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You have deep expertise in full stack ASP.NET MVC web development, React, Visual Studio, .NET, and C#.
• You're skilled in web front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, JSON, Ajax) and back-end technologies (WCF, SOAP/REST APIs, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server, Transact-SQL), with the ability to create and modify SQL schemas, stored procedures, functions, and database structures.
• You have working knowledge of version control using Git/GitHub, IIS configuration, and Agile development processes. Experience developing software in Azure and comfort with AI-assisted workflows are a plus.
• You're a motivated individual able to manage time and projects effectively in a fully remote working environment.
