At Sovos, we're transforming tax compliance from a business requirement into a driver of growth through AI-powered technology that delivers the accurate, real-time insights businesses need to make smarter decisions.
We're solving more than today's tax compliance challenges. We're helping reshape global economies by enabling organizations to navigate increasingly complex and rapidly changing regulatory environments with confidence – and helping communities thrive.
AI is accelerating what's possible, enabling tax and technology professionals to more effectively drive critical regulatory decisions. That's where Sovos excels, combining intelligent technology with human expertise to help customers stay ahead of change.
Don't worry if you don't check every box. We're focused on hiring great people, not perfect resumes. It's less about what you've done elsewhere and more about what you're capable of doing here.
The Role
At Sovos, we're transforming how businesses navigate tax compliance on a global scale. The Commissions & Reporting Analyst II plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant commission processing across Sovos' customer-facing teams. This role combines analytical rigour, operational ownership, and cross-functional coordination to support recurring commission cycles, maintain data integrity, and deliver clear reporting that enables leaders to make informed decisions.
More specifically, you will:
- Execute monthly and quarterly commission calculations for multiple business units, applying varying structures, accelerators, clawbacks, and exceptions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by partnering with Sales Ops, Finance, and other internal teams to reconcile records and correct upstream data issues.
- Maintain commission models and templates including rate tables, plan logic, and audit trails for recurring cycles, leveraging AI tools where appropriate to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Produce ad hoc and recurring reporting packages including payout summaries, trend analysis, variance explanations, and compliance documentation.
- Identify process improvements to streamline recurring commission events, reduce manual work, and enhance data reliability.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls by following established review, approval, and documentation procedures for each commission cycle.
