Description

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the workflow of the warehouse operations as related to picking, packing, performing value add services and shipping of orders, while demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, associate growth and development, and continuous improvement of processes and performance.

Schedule

Sunday-Thursday 3:30pm-12:30am plus mandatory OT during peak season

Job Summary

  • Supervise, direct, train and develop associates, including providing frequent and constructive feedback, including yearly appraisals
  • Crisis management of issues related to picking, packing and shipping of orders
  • Overseeing work flow and reprioritize work and resources throughout shift as needed
  • Provide assistance to second shift associates with questions or issues related to inventory
  • Communicate company/department standards, expectations, goals, changes and policies to second shift staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout shift and at the end of the shift
  • Follow and enforce with staff all company policies and procedures for safety, including food safety, quality, and sanitation with regard to personnel, maintenance and equipment
  • Assist with development and delivery of training programs for safety, sanitation, quality control, and maintenance
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed
  • It is a requirement of this position to work productively and cooperatively
  • May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Requirements

Expectations

  • 5+ years’ experience in distribution environment with 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Workflow and capacity planning, with ability to manage projects from beginning to finish
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and to stand for several hours at a time
