Description

The PIT Operator is responsible for replenishing and picking inventory, performing inventory counts, and building and breaking down pallets using powered mobile material handling equipment.

JOB SUMMARY

• Accurate picking and restocking product with an order picker or turret truck
• Documents actions using handheld RF for movement of materials and finished goods
• Maintains safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures regarding machine use.
• Keeps machinery operating by following operating instructions; performing preventive maintenance and promptly calling for repairs as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Perform other job duties as assigned including inventory cycle counts and distribution activities as needed
• Cross training to work in other areas of the Warehouse.
• May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require
• Follow the Stonewall Kitchen Standards of Conduct.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and to stand for several hours at a time
• Ability to operate forklift (order picker or turret truck is preferred)
• Must have proven abilities with attention to detail.
