Description

The Plant Manager coordinates all aspects of Stonewall Kitchen’s Manufacturing Operations at a single site. Acts as the primary operational site authority. Is responsible for identifying long-term process improvements, equipment needs, and developing programs and policies to support the effective execution of these functions. Specific responsibilities include:

· Direct responsibility for production, maintenance, sanitation, and warehouse teams for the York production facility

· Direct responsibility for facilities, maintenance, and wastewater treatment for the York production facility, York Home Office, and

all company Retail locations.

· Ensures that the operations team produces the highest quality products in the safest, most cost effective, efficient, and timely

manner as possible, according to company goals and objectives.

· Operate and maintain facilities and utilities in such a way as to provide reliable fuel, power, water, compressed air, refrigeration,

HVAC, and sewer services for all departments.

· Provide leadership through supervision, delegation, coaching, training, and project oversight to direct reports and their staff,

including performance appraisals and corrective action plans as needed.

· Communicates effectively and works cross-functionally with other departments including Planning, Purchasing, Quality Assurance,

R&D, Retail Ops., and Merchandising to achieve objectives.

· Identify and recommend equipment repairs, upgrades, and/or reconfiguration (s) to maintain and/or improve production

efficiency, quality standards, and other key factors.

· Work closely with the Company’s property and risk insurers to maximize protection while minimizing risk exposure.

· Assist the COO in developing and executing operating and capital expenditure budgets

· Manages the transition of new products from R&D test batches to full production.

· Measures, tracks, improves, and reports against company KPIs and other success criteria to COO and other departments.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing

· 10+ years of experience in a decision-making position in the manufacturing industry, preferably food manufacturing

· Experience with ERP and WMS systems strongly preferred; above average Excel skills preferred

· Knowledge of applicable engineering, manufacturing, and quality principles

· Strong knowledge of quality standards for food industry required

· Demonstrates leadership qualities

· Position requires interpersonal skills, communication skills including the ability to compromise, persuade, and negotiate.

· Strong Project Management skills

· Ability to climb stairs and sit for several hours at a time

Salary Description
starting at $125,000
