About you:

You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the construction industry and the nuances of each business segment. You will also be someone who can progress and accelerate long lead sales and engage effectively with the most senior executives in the market.

In this role you will also be able to quickly get up to speed with the Access construction product suite.,

About the role:

The primary task of the Strategic Account Executive (SAE) role is to identify and pursue self generated leads and also pursue leads generated by our highly successful marketing initiatives.

The SAE will head the pursuit of qualified leads through to contract close, working in close collaboration with our functional experts. This role will identify and address the needs of prospective customers in a manner that sets us apart from our competitors.

The target market is large, ranging from Tier 1 and 2 companies, through to Tier 3.

Access addresses the full spectrum of construction in the Home Building, Commercial, Civil, Service and Speciality Engineering sub verticals. In APAC, commercial and civil contracting is a key focus.

The SAE will be experienced engaging with C-Suite executives and industry domain experts across the full range of disciplines, including Finance, Operations, Procure to Pay, Plant & Asset Management, Human Resources, Subcontracting and Supply Chain.

Day to day you will:

Be expected to meet or exceed new business budgets each quarter, each year, year on year.

Develop a well-qualified opportunity pipeline to ensure budgets are reliably achieved.

Progress opportunities through the pipeline in defined sales stages, always optimising our responses with a view to becoming the clear and only realistic solution provider for prospects to work with through to an agreed contract.

Devise and implement commercial strategies to maximise benefits for the customers.

Monitor and adapt to industry need and trends and provide market driven recommendations back into the Group on products and solutions that maintain our market leading position.

Maintain timely and accurate records of sales activities in key systems, including Salesforce.

Your skills and experience may include:


Demonstrated experience with superior career results in selling large, complex advanced technology enterprise-wide solutions to construction, manufacturing, or similar industries.

Ability to engage successfully with senior executives and domain experts in the demanding and highly competitive construction industry.

Demonstrated gravitas necessary to progress the most challenging of complex and long lead sales processes, involving multiple uncompromising stakeholders.

Highly desirable

Strong understanding of the construction industry, its methods, processes, challenges, needs and resulting opportunities for The Access Group.

Ability to grasp and personally present key features of an advanced software suite.


Experience using an advanced set of internal technologies, including Salesforce.

Previous construction industry experience in any role.
