About you: You’ll report into the Financial Reporting Accountant and you’ll consider yourself a self-starter who excels in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can work effectively with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will hold an AAT Level 4 or equivalent and be actively pursuing ACCA/CIMA or a similar qualification. You should be proactive, inquisitive, and detail-oriented, demonstrating professional and credible behavior. Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications at an intermediate or advanced level, combined with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, is essential for success in this role. Day-to-day, you will: • Review and document processes to ensure completeness and accuracy, prepare accruals, prepayments, inter-company recharges, post journals, and review P&L and related cost lines during month-end close. • Partner with finance teams to ensure the accuracy of accruals, reclassification of costs, and perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accounts are well supported. • Support the Financial Reporting Accountant in audit and reporting deliverables, assist in consolidating group accounts, and work with colleagues across regions (EMEA, APAC, Americas). • Collaborate with the acquisition accounting team to correctly account for newly acquired subsidiaries and investments, consolidating into the Group reporting system while providing variance analysis and commentary. Your skills and experiences might also include: • Experience working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with a focus on building efficiencies and automating processes. • Preferable experience with VAT returns and a strong understanding of VAT regulations. • Familiarity with Dimensions accounting software and experience in consolidating financial statements, providing analysis and commentary on movements. • Experience in a private equity-backed, highly acquisitive company is highly desirable.
