About you

You’re an AI-native developer who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves writing code with AI tools at your side. You want to build impactful products end-to-end, solve complex problems, and have a real say in technical decisions. You’re excited by the idea of being the first engineer for Elay in Vietnam and growing into principal engineering role as we grow the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable full-stack applications using Django, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch.

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Django for our automation platform operating in the recruitment space.

• Solve complex technical challenges, optimize system performance, and roll out new features.

• Oversee code quality by establishing standards, conducting code reviews, and driving best practices across the team.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to create seamless, intuitive user experiences.

Requirements - Must Have

• Strong proficiency in Django, ReactJS, SQL and No-SQL and concurrent systems.

• Proven experience with Python backend development, APIs, and scalable services and concurrent systems.

• Excellent spoken and written English.

• Track record of shipping high-quality production code in agile environments; Passion for crafting great user experiences.

• Competent and confident in building with AI tools, you love leveraging AI in your development workflow to build faster and better.

Requirements - Nice to Have

• Experience in technical architecture and decision-making.

• Experience leading a team.

• Previous start-up or scale-up engineering experience.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).

• Contributions to open-source projects or notable personal projects.
