Role-specific:

· An exciting role within the ERP Specialised Products area for a software engineer. You will be accountable for delivering roadmap items and providing support for a product called Roundsman

· Quality and usability should be a first class consideration, baked into the engineering process.

· Key characteristics for this role: enthusiastic, solutions-focussed, pro-active, loves a challenge, pride in your codebase and the quality of your output, and adaptable.

About the Product:

· Roundsman is a milk/product delivery system which has a WinForms backend system and a MVC azure hosted customer portal, both integrate with SQL Server databases.

· It has android java apps for driver delivers and stock management

· It integrates with various third party tools like Sage 50, Access Financials and Opayo

Day-to-day:

· Develop software solutions to meet agreed acceptance criteria and stories using a range of languages and technologies. Ensures dev standards are established, known and followed within Scrum team.

· Manage effective source control, ensuring isolation and ability to manage multiple branches.

About you:

· You are collaborative and pragmatic.

· You write clean, self-documenting code that is well structured, well-named, simple and easy to read. You stay up to date with latest technology.

· You understand overall project picture and makes decisions/recommendations according to these in order to achieve successful delivery of deliverables.

· Can dive into a new project and pick up new toolsets with ease.

· You demonstrate adaptability to changes in requirements.

· Can demonstrate experience working on several projects and technologies, sharing and promoting different ideas

Tech Stack/Experience:

· C#, .NET framework, current framework is 4.7

· SQL Server and SSRS

· Experience of XML, SQL, json

· Experience communicating with various types of web services

· Experience with business development cycles and build integration, ADO/Teamcity

· Confident with version control systems

· Unit testing frameworks
