We’re looking for people to join the Access family, who share our passion for believing in better, and who will help us continue to grow.
Love Work. Love Life. Be You. - is central to our success and how we give our customers the freedom to do more of what's important to them.
What does Access offer you?
We offer a blended approach to office working, encouraging you to collaborate and connect in one of our thriving offices. We deliver on what we say, taking the development of our people seriously. We’ll work with you to progress your success plan and provide opportunities to accelerate your career.
You will start with 25 days annual leave that increases with your seniority in the company, a private healthcare and life insurance. We pride ourselves on being an organisation that gives back so you’ll also have one charity day allocated to support a cause that matters to you. There are plenty of other perks. Apply to find out more.
About you:
Lead strategic development and execution of digital marketing initiatives across our Health and Local Government and TEC software companies, with full ownership of digital performance.
Drive transformational growth in engagement with NHS trusts and local authorities through comprehensive digital asset management, content strategy, and community building, working collaboratively with existing specialist teams across the division.
This role requires someone who thrives on execution over strategy - someone who can take ownership of tasks and deliver results.
You’ll focus on mapping and optimising the full customer journey, from initial website visit through to conversion, identifying drop-off points and nurturing opportunities.
You’ll be expected to interpret web performance data using tools like SEMrush and Microsoft Clarity, and turn insights into actionable optimisations for health and local government pages.
You’ll also be responsible for designing seamless post-form experiences, including nurture sequences and ongoing engagement strategies, and ensuring that content aligns with audience personas and decision-makers.
Day-to-day, you will:
Strategic Leadership & Growth – Own and deliver the digital marketing strategy aligned with business objectives, holding P&L accountability, leading strategic planning/executive reviews, and developing business cases for new digital initiatives, technologies, and market opportunities.
Performance & Optimisation – Oversee daily management of digital assets and channels (paid & organic), drive traffic through SEO/GEO/content, run experiments to test impact, produce ROI-driven performance reports, and implement KPI frameworks with executive-level visibility. You’ll also conduct website journey analysis to identify high-impact pages and understand how users arrive, navigate, and where they drop off.
Content & SEO Excellence – Define and execute SEO roadmap for NHS and local authority audiences; conduct keyword/competitor analysis; build content strategies and calendars that address customer pain points; and work with content managers to deliver search-first, timely content. You’ll review existing content structures and identify opportunities to better link related pieces together, both for new content and retrospective optimisation.
Stakeholder, Community & Collaboration – Build digital communities across public sector, strengthen thought leadership and advocacy, establish partnerships with industry bodies/influencers, and collaborate cross-functionally with PPC, SEO, content, product marketing, and paid media teams to share best practices and drive impact. You’ll work closely with the content team and integrate your efforts with PR, engagement, and nurture activities across the broader marketing function
Your skills and experiences might also include:
Strategic Leadership & Vision – Experience building out and scaling digital marketing functions in B2B SaaS environments; proven record of transformational digital growth, market positioning, and strategic roadmap development; strong commercial acumen with P&L and ROI optimisation; exceptional presentation skills with executive/C-suite stakeholders.
Digital Marketing & Technical Expertise – Expert-level SEO with organic growth success; advanced content marketing and thought leadership strategies; deep knowledge of public sector buying behaviours, procurement, compliance, and accessibility; proficiency in Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush (plus AHRefs/BrightEdge), and experience with marketing automation, personalisation, and customer segmentation. You should have hands-on experience with platforms like Marketo, Salesforce, or similar systems to build and manage nurture campaigns.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution – Skilled in influencing across matrixed organisations, translating business objectives into digital strategies, and driving results through collaboration; data-driven approach with comprehensive reporting frameworks, test-and-learn mindset, and integration of emerging digital technologies and trends. You’ll need UX and user journey expertise to analyse behaviour and design improved website experiences that guide prospects through conversion funnels.
Sector-Specific Knowledge & Desirable Expertise – Previous experience in health tech, local government, or care; understanding of NHS procurement and local authority digital transformation; experience with public sector content requirements, governance, and community management platforms; advanced B2B social media strategy. While sector experience is valuable, complex B2B experience is equally relevant. A collaborative, get-involved personality is essential to thrive in the team dynamic.
