Position Summary: The Web Lead is a digital marketing specialist responsible for driving lead generation and enhancing user experience across commercial websites. This role requires deep expertise in SEO/AIO, CRO, UX, and website management, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous optimisation. The ideal candidate will have experience in website migration projects, understand web technologies, and be proficient in reporting and analysis. Acting as a technical partner to the Digital Marketing Managers, the Web Lead ensures digital platforms are optimised for performance, usability, and conversion.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of best-in-class user experiences to drive lead generation.
  • Own and optimize onsite conversion strategies (CRO).
  • Analyze website performance and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Manage and implement onsite optimizations and content updates.
  • Help drive SEO initiatives across technical, content, and offsite dimensions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Managers to align technical enhancements with business goals.
  • Lead and support website migration projects, including integration of external sites.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and digital best practices across teams.
  • Deliver requirements to enhance TAG websites and digital properties.
  • Conduct A/B and functionality testing to improve conversion rates.
  • Create and maintain reports using Google Analytics and Looker Studio.
  • Support adoption and implementation of tools like Google Tag Manager.
  • Perform basic image editing for web content updates.
  • Make advanced changes and configurations within CMS platforms such as Umbraco, Webflow, and WordPress.

Key performance indicators:

  • Conversion rate improvements and lead generation volume/quality.
  • Growth in organic traffic and visibility.
  • Average keyword rankings in strategic topic areas.
  • Impressions, clicks, and click-through rate (CTR) performance.
  • Successful implementation of SEO and CRO initiatives.
  • Timely delivery of technical enhancements, migrations, and updates.
  • Accuracy and clarity of reporting dashboards and insights.
  • Quality and stability of CMS configurations and updates.

Skills, knowledge, experience & qualifications:

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of SEO (technical, on-page, off-page), UX, and CRO principles.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficient in Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
  • Skilled in creating reports and dashboards in Looker Studio.
  • Basic image editing capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Commercial acumen and customer-centric approach.
  • Advanced familiarity with CMS platforms including Umbraco, Webflow, and WordPress.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing roles with a focus on website optimization.
  • Track record of delivering technical digital projects and enhancements.
  • Experience managing website migration projects.
  • Experience with CMS platforms and making advanced configuration changes.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of digital tools including:
    • Google Analytics
    • Google Search Console
    • Google Optimize or similar
    • SEMrush or similar
    • Heatmapping tools (e.g., Clarity, HotJar)
    • Looker Studio

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or digital media (preferred).
  • Background in web development or front-end technologies is useful but not essential.
  • Certifications in SEO, CRO, analytics, or digital tools are advantageous
