About you:

Lead strategic technical initiatives that drive business transformation through robust software solutions and data integration. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in software development, database architecture, API design, and system integration. The ideal candidate will excel at designing and implementing scalable enterprise applications, developing integrations, and crafting technical solutions that align with evolving business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development and Architecture:

• Lead the design and development of enterprise applications using C#, .NET framework, and Web Services.

• Architect and implement scalable solutions that support critical business operations.

• Write clean, maintainable code following industry best practices and design patterns.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Database Design and Optimization:

• Design, develop, and optimize complex database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.

• Create stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views to support application logic and reporting needs.

• Ensure database performance, security, and integrity through proper indexing, query optimization, and maintenance strategies.

• Implement data integration pipelines and ETL processes to support business intelligence initiatives.

Legacy System Integration:

• Develop and maintain applications using Progress 4GL, ensuring seamless integration with modern systems.

• Modernize legacy codebases and create bridges between Progress 4GL systems and contemporary .NET applications.

• Design migration strategies that minimize business disruption while improving system capabilities.

API and Web Services Development:

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and SOAP-based Web Services for internal and external integrations.

• Ensure API security, performance, and documentation meet enterprise standards.

• Integrate third-party services and develop middleware solutions to connect disparate systems.

AI Integration and Technical Innovation:

• Develop AI-related plugins and integrate machine learning capabilities into existing applications.

• Collaborate with data science teams to operationalize AI models through robust software implementations.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to business challenges.

Data-Driven Development:

• Leverage data analytics to inform technical decisions and identify system optimization opportunities.

• Develop reporting solutions and dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Use performance metrics to continuously improve application efficiency and user experience.

Effective Communication with Technical Proficiency:

• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.

• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and project proposals for senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in software development with strong emphasis on enterprise applications.

• Proven experience developing applications using C#, .NET framework, and Web Services.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Progress 4GL development and maintenance.

• Track record of successfully leading technical projects and delivering production-ready solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency in C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).

• Strong database development skills with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Solid experience with Progress 4GL (OpenEdge) development and integration.

• Proficiency with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.

• Experience with data analysis tools and AI/ML frameworks is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of software design patterns, OOP principles, and enterprise architecture.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

• Excellent communication skills with ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver quality results under deadlines.

• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality.
