About you:

  • An exciting role within the People Division, you will manage approximately 7 direct reports across 2 Delta Squads (typically 4 engineers per squad), leading AI-augmented teams working on core SaaS payroll products within the People Division SMB portfolio. You will operate as a player/manager, running your own Delta Pod while providing technical leadership across your squads.
  • You will have demonstrable experience with or possess a strong aptitude for AI-augmented development tools. You're excited about leveraging autonomous AI developers (like Devin) to multiply team productivity and comfortable coaching others to adopt new AI-powered workflows. You will complete Delta Certification (Levels 100 – 300) within your first quarter.
  • You will be accountable for the engineering delivery of agreed roadmap, technical and quality deliverables of the team.
  • You will contribute to engineering processes within the team, whilst ensuring the team delivers projects, maintains technical and quality standards and is motivated and engaged.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Lead a team that will design and develop software solutions to meet agreed acceptance criteria and stories using a range of languages and technologies. Ensure development standards are established, known, and followed within the Scrum team.
  • Drive high-performance culture through SMART quarterly objectives aligned with FY26 strategic goals, and beyond. You will conduct quarterly ESP (Employee Success Plan) reviews, ensuring each team member has at least 3 measurable objectives, and manage performance calibration to achieve appropriate distribution across high performing, performing, and under-performing categories.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the Paycircle product through your leadership of an Agile team, whilst working collaboratively with your peers to ensure a ‘joined up approach’ is consistently taken.
  • Lead by hands-on example, driving both technical excellence and high individual / team performance throughout the development process. Provide technical leadership, guidance and direction to the team, whilst ultimately taking accountability for their deliverables.

Your skills and experiences to include:

This product is a SaaS, multi-tenanted application wherein the technology stack includes but is not limited to:

  • C#, .NET Framework, SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), Microservices, WCF, Azure service Fabric, Web API, REST, JSON, Angular, AngularJS
  • SQL integration (ADO.NET, EF, LINQ)., HTML, CSS, JavaScript / TypeScript, Visual Studio & VS Code
  • Automated Build (CI) and Deployments, Azure DevOps, Git-based Source Control
  • Devin (AI autonomous developer platform); Claude (AI assistant for requirements, research, strategy); Experience with AI-augmented development workflows; Familiarity with measuring AI productivity multipliers
