Role Overview

The Content Marketing Manager will help identify key content marketing initiatives that will grow the Small Business Division within the Access business. This position will execute the content marketing strategy, working closely with the demand gen leads, sales, product management, and the rest of the marketing team to drive growth through its marketing content.

This will require creating winning content that addresses key industry trends, positions our products as credible thought leaders, and seeks new channels in which we should feature. This role will focus on delivering content that supports the wider Access business to ultimately create demand, build awareness, and generate sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and execute the SBD content strategy.

  • Partner with the demand generation team to develop content that supports lead gen, nurtures prospects, and accelerates the buyer journey.

  • Contribute to pipeline growth through content designed for SEO, paid media, PR, email campaigns, and landing pages.

  • Create content across all formats, including website copy, imagery, gated content, case studies, videos, and social content.

  • Collaborate with product marketing, design, and digital teams to create compelling campaign assets.

  • Work closely with the internal data, design, and digital teams to utilise internal expertise and resource wherever possible.

  • Champion external relationships to support thought leadership content and seek out external opportunities to increase awareness of SBD products.

  • Use analytics to measure content performance and optimize for reach, engagement, and conversion.

  • Regularly report on KPIs and iterate content strategies based on insights.

Experience/Attributes

  • 3-5 years of experience in content marketing.

  • Demonstrated success creating content that drive measurable results.

  • Excellent storytelling, editing, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Domain expertise in B2B and/or B2C SaaS software products, especially targeting the SMB audience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and translate technical information into business benefits and thought leadership themes.

  • Editorial mindset with an ability to understand the audience’s content preferences.

  • Demonstrated self-starter with an ability to manage and motivate other team members.

  • Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, customers, and cross-functional teams, and third parties.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.

  • Hands on experience with SEO, traffic, and conversion metrics.

  • Demonstrated experience of designing and executing strong inbound generation campaigns using a wide variety of media and mediums.

  • Solid understanding of web publishing requirements.

Qualifications

  • BSc / BA degree in Marketing, Journalism, or relevant field.

  • Proven professional experience in the technology industry.

  • Proven experience in content marketing.

  • Domain expertise with enterprise application software, cloud computing / SaaS business solutions.
