About the role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Executive to take ownership of our digital properties within our Care software business. You'll be responsible for managing and optimising our website pages that promote our software solutions to care providers across the UK.
This role combines hands-on website management with strategic digital marketing expertise to drive lead generation in the care technology sector. You'll ensure our web presence effectively communicates our value proposition whilst navigating the unique challenges of B2B care sector marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage all aspects of our Care software website portfolio, ensuring sites are functioning optimally at all times
- Manage website projects from brief through to launch, working with internal teams and external agencies
- Lead website migration and integration projects, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruption to live sites
- Ensure website uptime, performance, and security standards are maintained
- Oversee CMS management, including user permissions, workflows, and content governance
- Maintain website documentation, style guides, and best practice guidelines
- Manage relationships with web hosting providers, developers, and third-party vendors
- Implement and maintain website tracking, analytics, and reporting infrastructure
- Coordinate website maintenance, updates, and technical improvements
- Implement and maintain SEO best practices across all web properties
- Conduct regular technical SEO audits and resolve issues impacting search performance
- Optimise site structure, page speed, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals
- Implement and maintain structured data and schema markup, including emerging best practices for AI-driven search visibility
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure SEO requirements are met
- Monitor organic search performance and keyword rankings, reporting on trends and opportunities
- Stay current with search engine algorithm updates and GEO/AIO (Generative Engine Optimisation / AI Optimisation) trends, including optimisation for AI-driven search and LLMs
- Develop and implement link-building strategies relevant to the care technology sector
- Monitor user behaviour through analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings to identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure websites deliver intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences
- Conduct regular UX reviews and usability testing
- Optimise user journeys, navigation, and site architecture
- Ensure websites are fully responsive and perform well across all devices and browsers
- Champion accessibility standards and WCAG compliance
- Analyse conversion funnels and identify opportunities to improve MQL/SQL conversion rates
- Design and execute A/B tests on landing pages, forms, CTAs, and other conversion elements
- Optimise landing pages for campaign performance
- Monitor and report on conversion metrics, providing actionable recommendations
- Implement best practices for form design, page layouts, and persuasive content
- Develop and maintain conversion dashboards tracking lead performance
- Maintain website analytics and tracking implementation (Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, or similar)
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards in Looker Studio to provide actionable insights for stakeholders and senior leadership
- Produce regular performance reports on website traffic, user behaviour, and conversions
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis
- Track and report on website KPIs including organic traffic, bounce rates, time on site, and goal completions
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior marketing leadership
- Mentor and support the wider digital marketing team with day-to-day digital marketing activities, best practices, and skill development
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing B2B websites, preferably in technology or regulated sectors
- Strong technical website management skills including CMS administration (Umbraco, WordPress, HubSpot, or similar)
- Demonstrable experience implementing and managing SEO strategies with measurable results
- Experience conducting UX research and implementing improvements based on user behaviour data
- Proven track record in CRO, including designing and running A/B tests
- Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Tag Manager
- Proficiency in building reports and dashboards using Looker Studio for data-driven decision making
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for troubleshooting and minor updates
- Experience with CRO and analytics tools (Hotjar, Clarity, Optimizely, VWO, or similar)
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple website initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance capabilities
- Strong communication skills for liaising with stakeholders, agencies, and technical teams
- Understanding of complex B2B buying cycles and lead generation strategies
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
Desirable
- Experience with care sector or regulated industry marketing
- Knowledge of care sector regulations and compliance requirements (CQC, GDPR, accessibility)
- Familiarity with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) approaches
- Experience with web development processes and agency management
- Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog
- Understanding of web security and performance optimisation
- Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience managing multi-site or multi-brand web portfolios
- Familiarity with customer data platforms
- Certifications in CRO, analytics, SEO, or GEO/AIO advantageous
