Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead to oversee our APAC Credit Controller and Dispute Management teams. The successful candidate will lead a team of 10-15 professionals, ensuring efficient credit control, dispute resolution, and reporting processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of credit control and dispute management to ensure efficient resolution of customer finance related dispute, and the ability to drive performance and process improvements. These may include, but are not limited to:

Customer Finance Related Query Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Credit Controllers across APAC.
  • Foster a collaborative, engaged, and high‑performance team culture.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one‑to‑one sessions to provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Empower Credit Control team members to proactively escalate risks and blockers to senior management.
  • Provide clear escalation guidance, review escalation quality, and coach teams on how and when to escalate effectively.
  • Act as the final escalation point to ensure decisions are timely, commercially sound, and aligned with business priorities

Credit Control Management

  • Oversee end‑to‑end credit control activities, including credit risk assessment and proactive collections of management.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce credit policies and procedures to minimise risk and Maximize cash flow.
  • Ensure all accounts are rigorously followed up end‑to‑end, with all collection avenues fully exhausted.
  • Take a preventative and renewal‑led approach by identifying at‑risk accounts ahead of renewal to protect cash flow and customer retention.
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management and Customer Success Momager to align collection strategies with renewal and commercial outcomes.

Dispute Management

  • Manage the end‑to‑end dispute resolution process to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve disputes while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Implement and monitor dispute management procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive sustainable issue resolution through structured root cause analysis to prevent repeat occurrences.
  • Promote self‑service solutions and ensure customer queries are addressed structurally within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Ensure team adherence to SLAs and KPIs for all Salesforce cases.
  • Partner with Billing, Finance, and Operations to deliver systemic and process improvements rather than temporary fixes.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and present regular reports on key metrics, including collections performance, overdue balances, and dispute resolution.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, and enhance dashboards to drive operational efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and insightful reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.

AI Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Continuously review and enhance credit control and dispute management processes.
  • Implement best practices, automation, and AI‑enabled solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
  • Lead or participate in initiatives aimed at improving financial operations and customer experience.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and senior management.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex credit and dispute issues and facilitate conference meetings to resolve collection and dispute invoices with root cause analysis with the Sales Team/Service Delivery Team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and resolve issues to ensure aged debt position for APAC as per the performance objective cascaded.

Your skills and experiences might also include:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit control, dispute management, or a related role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading teams of 5 -10 people.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle stress.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Advanced MS Office Skills & Accounting ERP systems.
  • In-depth understanding of both billing and credit collection policies.
