General Manager ClassforKids – in the Access Non‑Profit & Education Division (NPE)

Role Overview:
The General Manager ClassforKids role is within the Non‑Profit & Education (NPE) Software Company. The role plays a pivotal role in driving ClassForKids’ sustainable revenue growth, product performance, and customer outcomes.
Reporting to the NPE SoftCo General Manager, the role is responsible for determining the ClassForKids growth strategy, driving this into executable commercial plans and leading ClassForKids cross‑functional teams to deliver against key financial and customer metrics.
This role owns the three‑year product‑level commercial strategy, defining the “WHAT” of product direction and enabling delivery through strong matrix leadership. Success requires not only strategic vision and commercial acumen, but a future-ready mindset — the ability to adapt, learn continuously, and harness AI and emerging tools to drive outsized impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
Drive overall revenue growth across retention, expansion, and new business.
Own annual revenue targets, forecasting, and product-level commercial planning.
Identify market opportunities, competitive threats, and pricing/positioning improvements. Determine plans to execute on those opportunities, execute and deliver the results.
Align commercial plans with The Access Group and the NPE SoftCo strategy.
Continuously scan for emerging market dynamics and bring new commercial insights to the leadership team
2. Product Direction & Roadmap Ownership
Define and lead the strategic direction for the ClassforKids product.
Prioritise product initiatives based on customer needs, commercial impact, and market insights.
Ensure alignment between product development, customer value, and go‑to‑market execution.
Translate strategy into clear plans for cross‑functional delivery teams.
Adapt product priorities fluidly as market conditions, customer feedback, and AI capabilities evolve — comfortable moving between tools and approaches.
3. Customer Retention & Success (GRR/NRR)
Own GRR and NRR targets, partnering with central Access teams to drive improvements.
Develop retention strategies, early‑warning mechanisms, and churn mitigation plans.
Oversee customer health scoring, adoption initiatives, and risk management.
Approach retention challenges systematically — knows when to persist with existing strategies and when to pivot based on data.
4. Sales Performance & Pipeline Health
Build and maintain a strong pipeline to meet revenue and growth targets.
Partner with NPE Sales Management on performance, quota attainment, process optimisation, and forecasting.
Monitor key commercial metrics including win rates, pipeline coverage, ARR growth, and conversion.
Leverage AI and analytics tools to identify pipeline patterns and accelerate conversion.
5. P&L Ownership & Financial Management
Hold full P&L accountability for the ClassforKids product.
Manage revenue, cost, margins, and investment decisions to optimise profitability.
Oversee commercial budget allocation across sales, marketing, and customer success.
Deliver accurate financial reporting and insights to executive stakeholders.
6. Programme Execution & Operational Excellence
Lead implementation of company and SoftCo-wide initiatives affecting product performance and operations.
Drive adoption of central processes, systems, and methodologies.
Coordinate delivery with Operations and Business Excellence teams and monitor programme KPIs.
7. People Leadership & Engagement
Create a high-performance culture with strong engagement and accountability.
Provide clear leadership across matrix teams, ensuring alignment to strategy and objectives.
Lead talent development, coaching, and succession planning.
Embrace and champion new ways of working, including AI tools, and move fluidly through change without losing execution focus.

Works collaboratively with NPE DMT functional directors to ensure that matrix structure (ClassForKids’ functional leaders reporting lines to both Commercial Manager and NPE DMT functional directors)
Experience & Qualifications
Proven senior commercial leadership experience, ideally within a software or technology organisation.
Prior experience of, or demonstrably strong potential to be successful at, owning product-level strategy, P&L, and revenue outcomes.
Strong background in SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR/GRR, pipeline management, churn).
Skilled in cross‑functional leadership within matrix environments.
Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
Comfort with AI tool and a demonstrable appetite for continuous learning.
Passion or experience within the Non‑Profit or Education sectors (desirable).
