What are we all about?

At Access, we love software and how technology never stays the same. It's this obsession that drives us to work closely across sectors to understand the business needs of our customers - from the Hospitality sector to Manufacturing industry to Not for Profit’s to Construction, and many more.

We're passionate about helping our customers stay one step ahead of the challenges facing their industry and business, currently helping over 60,000 customers to have the freedom to do more.

About you:

Access is seeking a Director of Agentic Strategy Delivery to join our dynamic Growth Operations team, reporting to the Director, Growth Operations. This is a newly created, standalone role sitting at the heart of the PaySuite division's transformation agenda. Access Group is moving from a SaaS business to a fully agentic SaaS business — and this role exists to make that shift real within PaySuite.

You will define the strategic direction and vision, collaborating with the DMT to establish and own the operational plans to achieve our agentic goals. You will own the agentic roadmap for the division, identifying where automation and agent-led workflows can transform customer and internal outcomes. You will maintain deep knowledge of Access's platform capabilities and the central AI toolset, providing ideation, direction and develop the framework for the monetisation of Agentic product streams. You will develop credible plans in collaboration with the Divisional Management Team (DMT), and co-own the execution to ensure we achieve the agentic and commercial outcomes.

You will operate across multiple horizons: the opportunity to migrate the existing PaySuite customer base onto Evo Agentic via Nexus (our PaySuite Platform); the opportunity for new business coming onto Evo, across all pillars; the opportunity to embed agentic capabilities into Access Payments products and propositions (both Payments Acceptance and Financial Services Products); and the opportunity to accelerate our workforce through identification of agentic approaches.

You will operate at the heart of PaySuite’s agentic transformation, directing fast moving and complex sets of workstreams and working closely with, and influencing, senior stakeholders across the business to achieve our commercial goals. You will be the division's expert and advocate for all things agentic — ensuring Payments moves with pace and conviction, not as a late adopter, and has a platform level strategy.

Day-to-day, you will:

Agentic Vision & Strategy:

  • Define and own the agentic strategy for the PaySuite division, covering both internal operations and customer-facing product opportunities.

  • Identify where agent-led automation can deliver the highest-value outcomes for PaySuite customers — prioritising by ROI, feasibility, and strategic fit.

  • Set the vision for how the division participates in Access's three revenue waves: licence uplift, outcome consumption, and token consumption.

  • Develop a clear point of view on how to bridge the experience gap between Nexus — the incumbent platform for existing PaySuite customers — and Evo Agentic, particularly for customers running multiple Access products or with embedded payments. Ensure the division has a coherent approach that serves existing PaySuite customers without creating a two-tier experience.

  • Define and agree the PaySuite framework for commercialisation of in-product agentic features, ensuring the division can execute on the approach to achieve its commercial goals — including hybrid pricing models (licence uplift plus outcome/consumption-based pricing).

Platform & Tooling Expertise:

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the Evo Agentic platform — Navigator, Teamwork, Workflow, and Agent Builder — and how each applies within a Payments context.

  • Act as the division's primary interface with central AI and platform teams, ensuring PaySuite’s needs are represented in capability development and roadmap planning.

  • Stay ahead of the external AI landscape — tracking what competitors, partners, and new entrants are doing — and translate this into strategic insight for the division.

Opportunity Identification:

  • Map the PaySuite customer base for agentic migration opportunities — segmenting by readiness, value, and contract position — and work with the DMT on sequencing.

  • Identify external market opportunities where agentic payment capabilities (within both Payment Acceptance and Financial Services Products) could differentiate Access's proposition or open new revenue streams.

  • Generate and pressure-test use cases, working iteratively with product, commercial, and customer success to validate before committing to execution.

  • Quantify the customer value and ROI case for priority use cases, using this to directly inform pricing and commercial model design.

  • Identify opportunities to accelerate the division's own workforce through agentic approaches — applying the same use-case rigour internally as externally, and contributing to Access's broader internal efficiency story.

Planning and Execution:

  • Translate agentic strategy into credible, time-bound operational plans — working with DMT members to ensure each workstream has a clear owner, milestones, and measurable outcomes.

  • Co-own delivery of the agentic roadmap alongside the DMT, maintaining accountability for progress against commercial and adoption targets even where execution sits with others.

  • Establish the rhythm and governance to track agentic progress across the division — identifying where plans are off-track early and driving course-correction without waiting to be asked.

  • Hold the pen on the division's agentic plan as a living document — updating it as platform capability evolves, customer feedback comes in, and commercial priorities shift. Stakeholder

Enablement:

  • Equip DMT members with the context, framing, and materials they need to execute — this role provides the vision; the DMT drives delivery.

  • Act as a credible voice in senior customer conversations where agentic capabilities are part of the value proposition or commercial discussion.

  • Support the MD in presenting the division's agentic progress to Group leadership and, where relevant, investor audiences.

Your skills and experiences might also include:

  • Demonstrable experience in a strategy, transformation, or product leadership role within a SaaS or technology business.

  • Demonstrable experience defining or executing AI or agentic strategies in a commercial context — not just awareness of the landscape — with the ability to translate platform capability into tangible customer and revenue outcomes.

  • Familiarity with agentic AI productisation and LLMOps practices — including evaluation frameworks, observability, and prompt management.

  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders to drive change without direct line authority over execution teams.

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional workstreams in a matrix environment — directing pace and outcomes through influence rather than direct authority, and operating credibly at MD and Group leadership level.

  • Comfortable operating at both a strategic and a detailed level — able to frame vision for the MD and provide specific, actionable guidance to the DMT.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, able to engage and align stakeholders at all levels with clarity and confidence.

  • Pro-active, flexible and solutions-focused, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, manage competing demands, and problem-solve effectively under pressure. Ability to flex approach depending on the situation and stakeholders.

  • Experience in embedded payments, fintech, or payments technology, particularly familiarity with platforms such as Adyen or Stripe, or working within a SoftCo or payments partnership model.

  • Familiarity with Access Group’s product portfolio, in particular Evo and the PaySuite platform.

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS business navigating a platform or commercial model transition.

  • Background spanning commercial roles — sales, pre-sales, or customer success — as well as strategy, with a track record of building commercial models or monetisation frameworks for new product or capability areas.
