Want to work in a culture built on mutual trust and respect? How about having the freedom to make work fit into your life (and not the other way round)? A career with Thinkproject could be just the opportunity you're looking for.

What do we do?
Thinkproject is a European market-leader in digitalisation tools for construction companies. It sounds complex, but we'll explain further! Construction companies used to use manual administration and physical paperwork for projects (sometimes hundreds of thousands of bits of paperwork for one project!). Using our construction intelligence solutions, businesses can go digital, which benefits everyone from the construction companies to the wider public.
Our mission is to deliver digitalisation to make a safer, healthier and more sustainable AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Operations) industry. This is a really exciting time to join our company, since our founding in 2000 we have gone from strength-to-strength and have lots of exciting developments coming up soon that you could be a part of.

We are seeking a graduate or junior Test Engineer to join our New Zealand team to help develop new and support exiting functionality using the latest technologies.

What your day will look like

  • Development and execution of test cases based on agreed acceptance criteria
  • Create test scenarios based on new features
  • Creation and management of test data and test environments
  • Validate the system to ensure it meets business needs and benefits, and report on status against schedule
  • Creation of detailed and accurate bug/defect tickets and track the progress of the fix.
  • Assist in troubleshooting product issues and provide accurate information to support troubleshooting
  • Driving quality, continuously improving team processes, and ensuring adherence to Thinkproject's overall testing strategy
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in software development

What you need to fulfill the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (required)
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to decide when to automate testing and when to take a manual approach
  • Experience working with agile delivery framework (Scrum with 3-week sprints).
  • Knowledge of some testing frameworks and solutions to master complexity
  • Good knowledge of software integration and system testing
  • Automation knowledge using C#, JavaScript/Typescript
  • +1 year experience is an advantage
  • ISTQB qualification is an advantage
