What your day will look like
- Monitoring our customer-facing services in a 24/7 environment, responding to incidents, and ensuring the sustainable prevention of future disruptions.
- Designing and implementing automation solutions for provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring to enhance efficiency and consistency across systems.
- Planning, coordinating, and executing releases to production environments while ensuring system stability and overall quality.
- Carrying out Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities such as patching, backup, capacity management, and performance optimization to maintain smooth operations
- Aligning and documenting technical requirements, managing development projects, and taking responsibility for their technical success.
- You will work closely with Development, DevOps and Systems Engineering to define development and deployment steps, technical specifications and test scenarios in detail.
- Defining test and acceptance criteria, monitoring compliance with release schedules, and ensuring the timely resolution of defects and issues.
What you need to fulfill the role
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar in a cloud-based environment.
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash or Go for automation and scripting tasks.
- Solid understanding of network principles, databases, and web services.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana) to analyze system performance and troubleshoot.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and good communication skills.
