What your day will look like
Lead and mentor a global team of QA engineers, driving best practices in automation and release quality.
Define and implement QA roadmap for:
Web UI E2E automation (using Playwright)
API automation for service-based endpoints (REST)
Mobile UI E2E automation on iOS/Android (using Detox)
Load/Performance testing based on product requirements (using k6)
Proactively track automation progress against the defined roadmap and ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
Own and coordinate release testing cycles, ensuring quality gates are met prior to production deployment.
Integrate and maintain automated tests in CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable feedback loops.
Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and Product stakeholders to align on test coverage, QA resource allocation, and quality goals.
Troubleshoot complex automation failures and drive resolution across platforms.
Foster a culture of ownership and accountability, with a strong focus on delivery, visibility, and scalability.
Track and communicate test coverage, risks, and release readiness across teams.
Ensure efficient prioritisation and time management based on sprint goals and delivery timelines.
What you need to fulfill the role
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing across Web, API, and Mobile platforms.
3+ years of experience in a QA leadership or technical lead capability.
Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript; experience with modern automation frameworks:
e.g.: Playwright, Selenium, Detox, BDD (e.g., Cucumber)
Solid knowledge of REST API testing strategies.
Hand-on experience with CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOps.
Strong problem-solving skills, both in automation debugging and team coordination.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, across both technical and business domains.
