What your day will look like
The Event Manager (f/m/d) is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of own events and tradeshows/3rd party events. This includes managing logistics, budgeting, coordinating vendors and staff, and ensuring high-quality experiences for attendees. The role requires communication and organizational skills to create memorable and impactful events and tradeshows/3rd party events.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate and deliver own events, trade shows and third-party events.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and internal stakeholders to define objectives, target audiences, content, agenda and speaker selection.
- Ensure timely delivery and high-quality output from all stakeholders.
- Provide clear and consistent project communication and status updates.
Budget & Financial Management
- Manage event budgets and track expenses within approved limits.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive rates.
- Support post-event financial reporting and cost analysis.
Logistics & Production
- Coordinate vendors and suppliers (e.g. catering, A/V, transport, booth construction).
- Collaborate on event and booth concepts and brief external agencies.
- Ensure all events and trade show presence are aligned with brand guidelines.
- Oversee set-up, on-site execution and dismantling.
On-Site & Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary on-site contact for participants, vendors and staff.
- Manage timelines and troubleshoot issues in real time.
- Travel to event locations as required.
Post-Event Reporting
- Collect feedback and measure event success (attendance, engagement, ROI).
- Prepare post-event reports and identify optimisation opportunities.
What you need to fulfill the role
Key Skills and Competencies:
Project Management: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English, French and German is a Plus
Problem-Solving: Able to think quickly and resolve issues as they arise during events.
Attention to Detail: Ensures all aspects of the event are executed to high standards.
Budgeting and Financial Acumen: Experience in managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and tracking expenses.
Ability to Translate Complex Topics into Engaging Event Content: Strong capability to digest complex subject matter through collaboration with product & product marketing teams, and shape into coherent, high value event agendas & session themes.
Digital Tools & Technology Proficiency: Highly analytical and deeply tech-savvy, confident navigating a wide range of digital marketing, automation and project management tools while adopting new technologies at speed.
Flexibility and Travel Willingness: Comfortable working in multicultural and international environments, collaborating effectively across diverse teams and traveling to different event locations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Typically, 5+ years of experience in event management or a related field, organization and implementation of international events outside your own country
