Introducing Thinkproject Platform

Pioneering a new era and offering a cohesive alternative to the fragmented landscape of construction software, Thinkproject seamlessly integrates the most extensive portfolio of mature solutions with an innovative platform, providing unparalleled features, integrations, user experiences, and synergies.

By combining information management expertise and in-depth knowledge of the building, infrastructure, and energy industries, Thinkproject empowers customers to efficiently deliver, operate, regenerate, and dispose of their built assets across their entire lifecycle through a Connected Data Ecosystem.

What your day will look like

Mission

At Thinkproject, we rely on NetSuite as a core system for Finance and wider business operations. As a NetSuite Administrator (f/m/d), you will own the day-to-day administration of the platform and deliver light-to-medium technical enhancements so teams can work efficiently, accurately and with confidence.

This is an in-house, non-customer-facing role blending platform ownership with hands-on maintenance: Workflows/ approvals, saved searches and dashboards, integrations, and some light SuiteScript development.

Working closely with stakeholders across Finance and IT, you will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, supporting business users, improving processes, and partnering with stakeholders to enhance system functionality and data integrity.

Main Responsibilities

Platform Administration & Ownership:

  • Own NetSuite administration: roles/permissions, access controls, and system security.
  • Maintain environments (production and sandboxes), release readiness, system health monitoring and basic performance tuning.
  • Manage master data standards (customers, vendors, items, chart segments) and support data quality through controls and validation.
  • Build and maintain saved searches, dashboards and reports to support operational and finance reporting needs.

Development & Automation:

  • Design and optimise workflows and approvals (SuiteFlow), minimising customisation when standard NetSuite can meet the need.
  • Support automation across key processes (e.g., P2P, O2C, R2R) with a focus on auditability and maintainability.

Integrations & Data:

  • Manage integrations using SuiteTalk (REST/SOAP) and/or middleware, ensuring resilient error handling and monitoring.
  • Coordinate inbound/ outbound data flows, mapping, transformation and reconciliation with source/target system owners.
  • Support data imports and migrations using CSV import tools and scripts; plan and execute data fixes safely.

Testing, Release & Change Management:

  • Define test scenarios and scripts for unit testing, system testing and UAT; support users during UAT and defect triage.
  • Package and deploy changes (scripting, workflows, configuration) using agreed methods (e.g., SuiteBundler/ SDF where applicable).
  • Maintain clear documentation for changes, and follow Thinkproject change management, security and compliance expectations.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work and improve data integrity within NetSuite.
  • Keep current with NetSuite releases and SuiteCloud best practices; recommend improvements and share knowledge with the team.

Risk:

  • Identify and mitigate risks related to access control, data protection, integrations and operational resilience.
  • Support audits and controls by ensuring changes are traceable, approvals are enforced and audit trails are maintained.

What you need to fulfill the role

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience.
  • Proven experience operating as an in-house administrator in a mid-sized or international organisation (rather than customer-facing consultancy).
  • Comfortable translating business requirements into secure, scalable NetSuite solutions and explaining trade-offs between standard and custom.

Technical Expertise:
Core Platform

  • NetSuite administration: roles, permissions, subsidiaries/OneWorld concepts, forms, fields, records, and configuration governance.
  • Saved searches, dashboards and reporting; strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose root cause issues.
  • Workflow/approval design (SuiteFlow) with a focus on maintainable, auditable automation.

SuiteScript & SuiteCloud

  • SuiteScript 2.x development (client, user event, scheduled, map/reduce where applicable); familiarity with standard NetSuite APIs and performance considerations.
  • Experience with SuiteCloud tooling and deployment approaches (e.g., SuiteBundler and/or SDF), version control and basic CI practices.

Integrations & Data

  • Integration experience using SuiteTalk (REST/SOAP), RESTlets and/or middleware; authentication patterns and secure handling of credentials.
  • Data migration and ongoing data operations: CSV imports, reconciliation, and safe data correction approaches.

Other Considerations

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to work comfortably with both business and technical teams.
  • Occasional travel may be required to other Thinkproject offices for workshops and training.
  • Flexibility to support key business milestones (e.g., month-end close, quarterly reporting, major releases) which may fall outside standard hours.
  • Ability to work effectively in a distributed, international team and to communicate clearly across time zones and cultures.
  • Commitment to data protection, information security and working within agreed governance and change management processes.
  • Willingness to continuously learn, keep NetSuite skills current and share knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders.
