We are looking for a person with a minimum of five years’ experience in an Accounts Payable Manager position, who can manage a staff and effectively delegate responsibilities, develop a sense of accountability and follow-through, and most of all, implement effective/efficient policies and procedures that will raise the productivity and performance of the department. Full Cycle Accounts payable from coding invoices through cutting checks is within your realm of responsibility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for maintaining and implementing best practices within the Accounts Payable department. As the main point of contact, the Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for leading the staff with respect to methods, practices, and expected standard of performance.
In addition, this position is responsible for:
- Managing accounts payable systems, records and files
- Maintaining excellent external vendor and internal relations through customer service and prompt response to inquiries
- Balancing and reconciling to the general ledger
- Conducting month-end and year-end closing procedures including 1099 documents
- Ensuring the timely processing, review and issuance of checks and expense report reimbursements
- Ensure that overall department workloads and priorities are clearly communicated at all levels
Required Experience
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
- A four year degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred) and 5-7 years progressive Accounts Payable experience; as well as 3-5 years of relevant supervisory or management experience within a financial environment.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles and the accounts payable function.
- Experience in ERP system implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, experience managing teams and projects.
- Strong proficiency in Word, Outlook and intermediate level Excel skills.

- Safety and security—the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.

The base salary range for this role, across the US, is $97,000 - $135,000. Your actual base pay within this range will be determined by your work location as well as skills, qualifications, experience, and relevant education/training. The range provided reflects only the base salary for the role and does not include benefits.
