ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr. Sales Account Executive for Federal and State & Local Government is an experienced sales professional who drives strategic enterprise-wide sales initiatives within the public sector. This role encompasses territory planning, prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing new business with government agencies. Sr. Sales Account Executives directly impact Tungsten Automation's success and growth, reflected in excellent income potential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Identify, qualify, orchestrate and close new business within assigned public sector target accounts, leveraging compelling ROI that Tungsten Automation solutions provide for government agencies
  • Work closely with Lead Generation, Inside Sales, and Sales Engineering teams to create and manage a strong pipeline in both existing customers and prospects
  • Develop, manage, and report on a sustainable sales pipeline within the territory
  • Create and implement strategic territory plans in conjunction with sales management
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent sales cycles
  • Articulate the value of Tungsten Automation solutions to agency directors and government executives aligned with their strategic objectives
  • Establish and maintain strong, referenceable relationships with our client base
  • Qualify and forecast deals accurately and consistently
  • Work with key Technology Partners to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute field marketing activities to drive pipeline growth
  • Grow and maintain a network of contacts across various departments within each target agency
  • Collaborate with internal teams for effective prospecting and qualification
  • Maintain clean and up-to-date CRM records in accordance with management guidelines
  • Support Tungsten Automation related marketing events

Required Experience

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 5-8 years of successful sales experience selling enterprise software & service solutions to state and local government agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed individual quarterly and annual quotas
  • Proven success positioning and selling solutions aligned with government agencies' strategic objectives
  • Experience selling Imaging, ECM, BPM (Business Process Management), RPA, cognitive capture, process orchestration, and/or analytics to the public sector strongly preferred
  • Understanding of government procurement processes, budgetary cycles, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong intellectual capabilities, high enthusiasm, integrity, and passion for providing solutions to government customers
  • Ability to consistently close deals through effective negotiations and deal management
  • Outstanding organizational and qualification skills to prioritize effectively
  • Strategic sales training, solution selling and/or process-oriented sales approach
  • Hunter-type personality with boardroom presence and presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to long-term success
  • Team-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset
  • BS/BA or equivalent required (Advanced Degree Preferred)

The base salary range for this role, across the US, is $135,000 - $245,000. Your actual base pay within this range will be determined by your work location as well as skills, qualifications, experience, and relevant education/training. The range provided reflects only the base salary for the role and does not include benefits.
