About the role:
We are looking for a motivated Engineer to join our Emergency Support Engineering Team. This role involves providing critical technical support during high-priority incidents, ensuring rapid problem resolution, and maintaining system stability in complex enterprise environments.
ESET Engineers performs some of the following work and be involved in other aspects, as assigned:
- Render exceptional 3-tier phone/email support for efficient resolution of technology and functional problems across all products.
- Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with critical user issues.
- Follow established set of processes while handling support requests.
- Identify and learn more about the products used/supported by the organization.
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve critical customer issues.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports.
- Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles.
Required Skills
- Experience in Customer Support with an enterprise software organization.
- Experience with Microsoft and Linux or UNIX administration (Clustering, High Availability, Load Balancing, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in managing web servers
- Database (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) operational knowledge.
- knowledge of at least one programming languages (C#, C++, Java).
- Readiness to work shifts and/or be on call and/or put in extra hours for task closure.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Fast learner who can pick up new technologies.
- Capable of working with a cross-functional team to solve business and technical problems.
- Ability to make complex technical matters easy-to-comprehend for non-technical persons.
- Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency.
- High level of enthusiasm about helping and serving clients, strong customer and solution-oriented personality.

Please note that except where specified as “preferred,” or as a “plus,” all points listed below are considered minimum requirements.
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred
- Typically has 2 or more years’ relevant technical experience
