Job Purpose
As a Sr. Principal Software Engineer within the ERP Connector team, you will serve as a technical authority and leader.
You will drive the architectural design, development, and strategic goals of robust integration solutions that connect our enterprise software products with leading global ERP systems.
Combining deep expertise in C# / .NET with a strong understanding of enterprise workflows and Azure ecosystems, you will lead high-impact technical initiatives, mentor engineering talent, and ensure seamless cloud and hybrid data synchronization for our customers.
You will architect highly scalable, high-throughput integration pipelines capable of processing high volumes of enterprise data without latency.
Key Responsibilities
Management and staff in Tungsten Automation Corporation’s Software Engineering job family help the company to build and improve new and/or existing software products and their applications that we sell to our customers. Responsibilities of the Senior Principal Engineer position include:
· Complete the most complex or highest strategic value assignments or projects within the department and the ERP Connector team.
· Responsible for proactively identifying and recommending innovations (e.g. product innovations to ERP integration frameworks, or departmental process improvements)
· Act as the department go-to-person and subject matter expert for C# development, integration patterns day-to-day questions or inquires
· Contribute to the department’s longer-range planning processes: establishing Technical goals, architectural objectives and projects
· Drive assigned projects or tasks from conception through to successful production completion.
· Assign goals, objectives and projects to others and monitor their technical progress (does so in partnership with the department manager)
· Responsible for driving assigned projects or tasks from conception through to completion
· Coach, train, and mentor other more junior technical staff in the department (i.e. staff at IC 8 level and below)
· Complete department-wide projects aimed at departmental improvements, enhanced efficiencies, and effectiveness (e.g., new departmental operating procedures, new C# coding standards, integration tools, templates, tools and other practices, etc.)
Senior Principal Engineers must be capable of performing all of the following departmental tasks:
· Contributing to product ideas and innovation
· Evaluating product roadmaps (working with Product Management and User Experience, among other internal partners) to determine design and programming development requirements to meet customer needs (includes evaluating existing products and applications to enhance these and/or designing new products and applications) Conducting research, where appropriate and needed, to solve specific design, cloud connectivity, and API communication problems
· Creating product and/or applications’ architecture and design documentation to specify engineering development requirements for scalable enterprise-grade connectors.
· Writing/developing code for new, existing or enhanced software products and applications
· Working with various internal partners (such as Quality Assurance) to test new or enhanced products and their applications
· Participating in cross-functional build/configuration activities to ensure overall effective and efficient new or enhanced engineering design
· Contributing to downstream business activities such as technical publications and other technical communications’ tool development to ensure streamlined and effective end-user use of Tungsten Automation Corporation software products and their applications
· Ensuring new or updated releases are completed on-time, on-target, on-budget and without compromise to quality
· Supporting other internal and external partners/stakeholders/customers, as and when appropriate, in responding to technical inquiries
· Staying abreast of industry and field developments; remaining current in the latest technologies and functionalities (including modern .NET updates and ERP API shifts), as well as ever-evolving needs of customers and their customers
· Designing, testing, and optimizing code for maximum scalability, resource efficiency, and fault tolerance under heavy enterprise workloads.
· Writing/developing code in C# for new, existing, or enhanced software products, backend components, and ERP integration modules.
· Ensuring applications are optimized for deployment across modern cloud environments, leveraging standard Azure infrastructure, hosting, or messaging services where applicable.
· Utilizing Azure DevOps or similar modern CI/CD tooling to support automated testing, building, and deployment of integration components.

Candidates for this position should hold the following qualifications, have the following experience, and be able to demonstrate the following competencies to be considered as a suitable applicant. · Graduate Degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred
· Has a minimum of 10 years’ relevant technical experience
· Advanced, expert-level proficiency in C# and the .NET framework ecosystem.
· Proven track record designing, building, or maintaining complex integration components and extensive APIs experience.
· Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems or high-volume data pipelines.
· Strong familiarity or hands-on experience working with Azure cloud environments, services, or deployment pipelines.
