Job Title: Trainer — Healthcare
Location: Manila, Philippines
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic trainer specializing in the US healthcare revenue cycle with a strong focus on patient interaction and patient-facing processes. The role involves developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that equip staff to manage revenue cycle processes while ensuring exceptional patient engagement, empathy, and compliance with industry regulations.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of RCM processes, including patient registration, eligibility, benefits verification, pre-authorization, billing, and collections, and the interpersonal skills necessary to coach teams on effective patient communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery & Content Development
- Design, develop, and deliver training modules on patient-facing RCM processes such as:
- Appointment scheduling & patient registration
- Eligibility & insurance verification
- Patient financial counseling & cost estimation
- Patient billing & payment collection
- Handling patient queries, grievances, and escalations
- Train staff on empathetic communication, active listening, and conflict resolution when interacting with patients
- Incorporate role-playing, simulations, and case studies to improve real-world skills
- Ensure all training content complies with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other relevant US healthcare regulations
Assessment & Performance Support
- Conduct regular knowledge assessments and skills evaluations to measure training effectiveness
- Provide on-the-floor coaching and refresher sessions for teams handling patient interaction
- Identify training gaps and implement continuous improvement plans
Collaboration & Alignment
- Work closely with operations managers, quality teams, and client representatives to align training content with business goals and client expectations
- Stay updated on payer policy changes, compliance updates, and patient experience best practices and integrate them into training
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3–5 years of experience in US healthcare RCM, with at least 2 years in a training role
- Strong understanding of front-end revenue cycle functions (patient registration, eligibility, prior authorization, patient billing)
- Experience in training delivery and curriculum development for healthcare processes
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to coach teams in empathetic, patient-centered communication
- Knowledge of US healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, payer guidelines)
- Strong analytical skills to assess training needs and measure results
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, LMS platforms, and virtual training tools
