Production Operations Engineer (ProdOps) – Job Description

📌 Role Overview

We are seeking a Production Operations Engineer (ProdOps) to support and maintain our enterprise healthcare RCM platform in a distributed production environment.
ProdOps owns production stability, operational support, incident resolution, and application-level fixes so the core engineering teams can focus on roadmap and feature development.
The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, experience supporting web applications, and the ability to analyze and resolve production issues across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain production applications hosted across AWS and Azure cloud environments
• Support distributed web applications built using:
  • Angular frontend
  • .NET / .NET Core APIs
  • Microsoft SQL Server backend
• Manage and troubleshoot applications hosted on Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, application failures, performance issues, and customer-reported problems
• Analyze logs, API failures, SQL queries, and distributed service interactions to identify root causes
• Develop and deploy production hotfixes, minor enhancements, and operational code changes
• Work closely with development teams to transition complex issues or long-term fixes when required
• Improve operational stability by reducing recurring production issues and enhancing monitoring/alerting
• Maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and support runbooks

🛠️ Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments
• Hands-on experience managing Internet Information Services (IIS)-hosted applications
• Good understanding of .NET / .NET Core applications and APIs
• Experience troubleshooting Angular-based web applications
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server:
  • Query analysis
  • Performance troubleshooting
  • SQL debugging
  • Monitoring and maintenance
• Experience supporting distributed systems and micro services based architectures
• Familiarity with cloud platforms:
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Microsoft Azure
• Experience with any monitoring and observability tools:
  • Preferably Site24x7
• Strong ability to analyze and fix production issues independently with minimal supervision
• Experience handling customer-critical production incidents in high-availability environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Scripting or automation knowledge using:
  • PowerShell
  • Python
• Understanding of APIs, networking, SSL/TLS, DNS, and web application security

📊 Nice to Have

• Experience working in healthcare or RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) products
• Exposure to containerized or cloud-native environments is a plus
