The role
As we grow our Townsville office, we are seeking an experienced Civil Designer to help deliver projects ranging from subdivisions and car parks to schools, high-rises, commercial sites, industrial estates, and sporting facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating conceptual and detailed civil designs using 12D Model and AutoCAD
- Preparing design documentation that meets project timelines and quality standards
- Collaborating with engineers, surveyors, and external consultants
- Conducting site inspections and incorporating findings into designs
- Supporting feasibility studies, reports, and cost estimates
- Ensuring compliance with codes, legislation, and Australian Standards
- Assisting with construction monitoring to ensure design intent is delivered
What you’ll bring
We are looking for a detail-focused, collaborative designer who thrives in a team environment and enjoys variety in projects.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- ·Minimum 5 years’ civil design/drafting experience (consulting preferred)
- Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of design software including 12D Model and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of local and statutory requirements, legislation, and Australian Standards
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights
