The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Roma. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates to gain hands-on experience. As an apprentice, you will learn to maintain and repair heavy diesel machinery, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of heavy diesel equipment under the supervision of qualified mechanics.
- Learn to diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Participate in routine inspections and servicing of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies.
- Document all work performed and report any issues to senior mechanics.
- Commit to an apprenticeship and attend all TAFE/RTO training blocks.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Year 10 or equivalent education.
- Genuine interest in mechanics and heavy vehicles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in a practical environment.
- Strong commitment to safety.
