Farm Maintenance Coordinator (Sydney/Newcastle Region – Travel Required)

Farming • Newcastle, New South Wales 2300, Australia • Full-time

Description

About Pace

At Pace Farm, we’re proud of our strong family values that have guided us since the 1970s. From humble beginnings, we’ve grown into one of Australia’s largest egg producers, delivering the freshest, tastiest eggs nationwide. As the leading supplier of farm-fresh eggs and egg products, our mission is to continue setting the standard in the industry by valuing our people and equipping them with the skills to deliver top-quality products and service. With egg-citing growth and expansion on the horizon, now’s a great time to join us and be part of our continued success!

About the role

This newly created role plays a key part in connecting our farming and maintenance teams. You’ll act as the central point of coordination – assessing maintenance needs across our farms, organising resources, and ensuring preventative maintenance systems are effectively implemented.

Working closely with the National Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll help manage day-to-day maintenance activities while also supporting longer-term projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on, field-based role with regular travel across NSW and ACT.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct maintenance audits across farms and identify improvement opportunities
  • Implement and support preventative maintenance systems at site level
  • Act as the key liaison between farming teams and maintenance crews
  • Assess maintenance requests and coordinate the appropriate resources to deliver outcomes
  • Work closely with farm teams to understand site-specific challenges and priorities
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Coordinator and support the National Maintenance Manager
  • Assist with maintenance and project-related activities, ensuring smooth execution
  • Manage maintenance jobs, work orders, and purchase orders via ERP systems
  • Ensure compliance with WHS standards, regulations, and safety requirements
  • Travel regularly to farms across NSW and ACT

About You:

Are you someone who enjoys being out on-site, talking to people and getting a real understanding of what’s happening on the ground? You might come from a hands-on trade background or have experience selling, installing or supporting poultry equipment – either way, you understand how things work in practice. You don’t need to have all the answers, but you’re great at asking the right questions, connecting the right people, and organising the work to get things done. You’re naturally organised and reliable, and what really sets you apart is your ability to build strong relationships – listening to farm teams, understanding their challenges, and working with maintenance crews to deliver practical, workable solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in poultry maintenance, installation, or equipment (essential)
  • Background in a trade (e.g. electrician or fitter) is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A natural organiser who can coordinate people and priorities effectively
  • Ability to listen, understand site challenges, and respond with practical solutions
  • Comfortable working across both field and office environments
  • Basic IT skills, with a willingness to learn new systems
  • Willingness to travel regularly across NSW and ACT
  • Experience working with or alongside maintenance teams or contractors

Why Join Pace Farm?

  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Opportunity to work across multiple sites and make a real impact
  • 1 day a week from home (role dependent)
  • Monthly office-wide birthday celebrations
  • Regular free product
