About the Opportunity
We have an exciting and diverse opportunity for a Rehabilitation Consultant from an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor or Psychologist discipline to join our growing team on a Contractor basis. To be successful in this role, you must have your own proprietary limited ABN.
You will be assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and well-being. You’ll be managing a portfolio of cases including Workers Compensation, Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) and Workplace Health & Safety Assessments.
- As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you are an integral piece of someone’s recovery, you support them through their rehab journey and guide them through the process.
- Assisting individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client-centered approach, focusing on health and wellbeing.
- Managing a portfolio of cases including Workcover TAS and MAIB claims.
- Undertake assessments such as initial needs assessments, worksite assessments, and vocational assessments.
- Collaborate and liaise with employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
- Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work.
- Document case notes as part of your reporting, applying your clinical judgement to support and guide your clients.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Establish and uphold a standard of excellence while driving regional growth
- The role will suit someone who can build and maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
About you

If you enjoy working with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for injured people, and you also have;
- At least 3 year of Occupational Rehabilitation Consulting experience
- Workcover TAS Legislative knowledge.
- Injury Management Coordinator (IMC) Registration with WorkSafe Tasmania qualification preferred but not essential
- You must hold the same values as us You must hold a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Rehab Counselling or Psychology, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiologist
- AHPRA/ASORC/ESSA accreditation and have a passion for helping people
- Hold a full driver’s license and access to own car
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
