Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator to join our team at Sorella Early Learning. As the Lead Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our Junior Kindy room. You will lead a team of educators, create engaging learning experiences, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs and activities for children in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Lead and mentor a team of educators, providing guidance and support to ensure best practice in early childhood education and care.
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a sense of belonging and community within the center.
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s learning and development, communicating progress to families in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or working towards Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA.
  • At least one (1) year experience working in a long day care setting, with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislation governing the provision of early childhood education and care in Australia.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications & Blue card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
