Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator to join our team at Sorella Early Learning. As the Lead Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our Junior Kindy room. You will lead a team of educators, create engaging learning experiences, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs and activities for children in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
Lead and mentor a team of educators, providing guidance and support to ensure best practice in early childhood education and care.
Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a sense of belonging and community within the center.
Maintain accurate records of children’s learning and development, communicating progress to families in a timely and respectful manner.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma or working towards Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA.
At least one (1) year experience working in a long day care setting, with demonstrated leadership skills.
Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislation governing the provision of early childhood education and care in Australia.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications & Blue card (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
