About the Role:
We’re seeking an experienced and forward-thinking National Head of Clinical Development – Speech Pathology to lead and elevate clinical excellence across our organisation.
In this national leadership role, you’ll drive the development of clinical capability, shape best-practice frameworks, and build scalable learning pathways that support clinicians at every stage of their career. Combining your clinical expertise with strong leadership and commercial awareness, you’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care is delivered within a high-performing, NDIS-focused, billable environment.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a national clinical development strategy for Speech Pathology for both internal employees and external subscribers to the Allied Health Warrior CPD program.
- Design and deliver high-impact CPD programs, training initiatives, face to face workshops and structured learning pathways under the Allied Health Warrior brand.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and supervision to clinicians across multiple locations
- Drive clinical governance, quality, and best-practice standards aligned with Speech Pathology Australia guidelines
- Support clinicians to achieve strong outcomes within a billable, NDIS-aligned service delivery model and other related schemes.
- Partner with operational leaders to align clinical performance, utilisation, and service quality
- Contribute to continuous improvement through evidence-based practice, innovation, and service development
- Maintain a reduced clinical caseload of 12 hours per week to stay connected to client outcomes and service delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external industry networks
About You:
You’re a confident clinical leader who is passionate about developing others and driving high standards of care at scale.
You bring:
- 8+ years’ experience as a Speech Pathologist, ideally within a NDIS or billable services environment
- Strong understanding of utilisation, KPIs, and service delivery within a billable model
- Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership, mentoring, and professional development
- Advanced clinical knowledge across a range of speech pathology areas (e.g. communication, swallowing, complex needs)
- A passion for evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and continuous improvement
- Proven ability to design and implement learning and development programs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to influence, lead change, and drive consistency across a national workforce
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational and time management skills
Skills & Experience:
- Strong clinical foundation in Speech Pathology across diverse caseloads
- Experience developing and delivering training programs at scale
- Solid understanding of NDIS frameworks, compliance, and participant-centred care
- Strong leadership and coaching capability
- Excellent documentation, case management, and workload management skills
- Ability to use data and insights to drive clinical and operational improvements
- Strong knowledge of professional standards, ethics, and regulatory requirements
