You would be part of the legal department and providing legal advisory for the whole Eurowag group which currently consists of more than 50 entities.

We are looking for a Group Procurement Manager to ensure that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules. You will also review employees’ work and provide advice on compliance. To succeed in this role, you should be a reliable professional who is not afraid to speak their mind and stand by their decisions. You should be familiar with risk management and our industry’s standards. If you also have a sharp business acumen, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to ensure we operate in a legal and ethical manner while meeting our business objectives.

Job Description

Group Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the procurement function and overseeing vendor management and purchasing processes across several legal entities within EW Group. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing purchasing processes to support the company's business objectives. Group Procurement Manager plays a critical role in driving cost savings, improving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including ESG targets.

  • Procurement Strategy

Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's business objectives and ensure alignment with global best practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, and develop procurement plans accordingly. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement processes and vendor performance.

  • Vendor Management

Identify and evaluate potential vendors, suppliers, and service providers across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiate contracts and agreements, and monitor vendor performance to ensure service quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, address any issues or concerns, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards of vendor performance.

  • Purchasing Processes

Oversee the purchasing process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement standardized purchasing processes, workflows, and controls to streamline operations, reduce cycle times, and minimize risk. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, invoices, and payments.

  • Cost Savings and Optimization, Budget management

Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization across all procurement categories, including goods, services, and capital expenditures. Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to maximize value and minimize costs. Implement cost-saving initiatives, such as supplier consolidation, volume discounts, and alternative sourcing strategies, to achieve procurement targets and objectives.

  • Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to procurement and vendor management. Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, vendor dependencies, and contractual obligations. Implement measures to enhance transparency, accountability, and governance including ESG in procurement processes and vendor relationships.

  • Team Leadership and Development

Lead and mentor a team of procurement experts and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and capabilities. Promote a positive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or related roles, with experience managing procurement activities across multiple countries preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with procurement software, contract management tools, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use English language fluently
