Director of Toll Delivery

Proven experience as a Director of Engineering (or equivalent senior engineering leadership role) managing multiple engineering teams simultaneously
Strong track record of leading teams in high-growth, evolving product environments where requirements, priorities, and architecture are still developing
Experience partnering closely with Product, Design, and Business leaders to shape product direction and execution
Exceptional people leadership skills, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning across managers and senior engineers
Ability to prioritize ruthlessly, balance short-term delivery with long-term technical strategy, and manage competing stakeholder expectations
High emotional intelligence with the resilience to manage stress, rapid change, and organizational chaos while maintaining team morale and focus
Strong communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex technical and organizational topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in establishing and scaling engineering processes, metrics, and best practices without over-bureaucratizing teams
Solid technical background with the ability to guide architectural decisions and challenge teams constructively, even if not coding day-to-day
- Oversee all aspects of toll delivery, including the design, integration, and performance of toll product solutions
- Lead the integration of the toll platform with third parties, including Eurowag acquisitions
- Responsible for toll domain ensuring product security, scalability, and reliability in alignment with strategic goals
- Monitor performance metrics to make data-driven decisions that optimize product development and positioning
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to support the target product vision within the toll domain
- Prioritize user experience by designing accessible and user-friendly technology solutions for external customers
- Collaborate with Business Development and relevant departments to deliver enhancements that benefit customers
- Track and analyze the performance of integrated toll products, conducting cost-benefit analyses for informed decision-making
- Participate in budget planning, overseeing annual capital budgets for toll product initiatives
- Identify and develop a high-performing agile technology team with the necessary skills for toll solutions
- Address capacity and capability gaps within technology teams to enhance overall performance and integration efforts
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making while aligning with the company’s values and mission
Management:
- Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage the entrusted teams/ processes
- Provide regular and accurate management reporting
- Provide a management system based on best practices, leading to meeting goals by every team member and the team
Leadership:
- Ensure that the right person is in right job, poor performers addressed quickly in your teams
- Manage coaching to build on strengths is your standard management routine, you act as a good and effective coach and developer to own teams
- Share best practice, enabled upskilling and helped to build expertise in the team
- Provide regular feedback and recognition
