We are looking for a people-focused Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and grow one or more of our key development teams within the EW Toll product domain. In this role, your focus will be to enable your team to perform at its best.
You will form a leadership duo with the Product Owner, creating a partnership that balances technical execution with product vision. Your primary mission is to build a well-organized, highly efficient team by focusing on process improvement, individual development, and fostering a culture of collaboration and ownership.
  • Proven experience in an engineering leadership role (Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or similar).
  • A genuine passion for people management, team development, and fostering a positive and effective team culture.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and a track record of improving team processes and delivery.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with Product Managers/Owners to lead a team.
  • A solid technical background in software development. While you won't be expected to contribute as a coder, you must be able to understand technical challenges, contribute to architectural discussions, and maintain credibility with experienced developers.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance team health, technical debt, and feature delivery.
  • Team Development & Leadership: Champion the professional development of your team members through dedicated coaching, mentorship, and regular performance feedback. Lead all people management aspects, including hiring, onboarding, 1-on-1s, and creating a motivating and supportive team culture.
  • Process Improvement: Own and continuously improve the team's agile processes and workflows, removing impediments to boost efficiency and predictability.
  • Product Partnership: Partner closely with the Product Owner to create a unified vision for the team, aligning technical execution with product strategy and goals.
  • Team Dynamics & Organization: Develop a deep understanding of the team's dynamics, identifying strengths and areas for growth. Foster a well-organized and self-sufficient team, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and goals.
  • Delivery & Execution: Guide the team in planning and execution to ensure the successful delivery of the product roadmap, balancing feature work with technical health.
